TWINKLES
             AGES 1-2
We have created a cheerful and welcoming
environment to help children make a successful
transition from home or from another center.
We take the time to work with each child individually
helping to build a positive self image as well as participating in group
activities.

We feel it is important for children to learn as they play.  Our new expanded
curriculum follows three main scheduled modules:

Circle Time: Introduction to math, music, language experience and literature
experience
Direct Instruction Center Time: Sensory experiences and art
Free Choice Exploration Center Time: Explore a variety of manipulatives and
movement through play.

            LITTLE DIPPERS
            AGES 2-3
The toddler program is designed to encourage
children’s active participation in developmentally
appropriate activities.  We feel it is important for children to learn as they play.
The classroom schedule will include sensory, art, music, dramatic play, fine
and gross motor skills, science and early math, as well as discovering
themselves and the world around them.

We recognize the uniqueness of each child and help them learn and develop
at their own pace.

Children learn about themselves and others during circle and center time as
well as engaging in quiet time activities such as books and puzzles

            COSMOS
            AGES 3-5
The foundation of our preschool program is based
on a safe nurturing and stimulating environment
that will enhance your child’s growth and self
esteem.  There are many creative, fun and
educational activities at Bright Star.

The children will spend each day playing with friends, singing, reading, baking
and enjoying activities planned around weekly themes.  Some examples are:

Our Five Senses
My School
Ocean Journey
Zoo Safari
My Family and Friends

Our goal at Bright Star is to make sure that children move on to Kindergarten
with the social and academic skills needed to succeed.
These include but are not limited to:

knowledge of books and literature
social skills both individual and in groups
self help skills and language skills to ensure that children’s basic
needs will be met
an excitement to experience all curricular areas as they move on to
more formal learning.
