The foundation of our preschool program is based on a safe nurturing and stimulating environment that will enhance your child’s growth and self
esteem. There are many creative, fun and educational activities at Bright Star.
The children will spend each day playing with friends, singing, reading, baking and enjoying activities planned around weekly themes. Some examples are:
Our Five Senses
My School
Ocean Journey
Zoo Safari
My Family and Friends
Our goal at Bright Star is to make sure that children move on to Kindergarten
with the social and academic skills needed to succeed.
These include but are not limited to:

Hi, my name is Antoinette Martinez. I am a lead teacher in the Cosmos classroom. I have been enjoying my time at Bright Star for six years now. I have been teaching for over seventeen years and I will say it never gets old. Every year I learn something new. I am certified in Early Childhood Education and pursing a degree in Education, I love my work. Everyday I am thankful to have such a wonderful career. I truly enjoy teaching children new things . It is amazing to see how children develop and to be a part of their growth in a partnership with parents. I feel like I am doing my part in this world and its future.
Hello, my name is Ms. Ada. I'm one of the lead teachers in the Cosmos classroom. I have been working here at Bright Star for five wonderful years. I have worked with children, ranging from six month to twelve years, for more than a decade. I particularity like working with the pre-school age group because they are like sponges, they absorb so much in such a short amount of time. I love my job. What other profession can you get to be a part of another person's life, but you can laugh, play and even wear pajamas and have crazy hair on some days.

We will also include activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day, Dental Health, Black History, and President’s Day. Keep an eye out for a Valentine’s Day Party Sign-up Sheet. (There are 20 children enrolled in the Cosmos class.)
Reminder: The Show and Tell bin is now located in the hallway. Show and Tell is on Mondays ONLY. Please drop off toys in the bin before entering the classroom. Thank you.
We would like to welcome to the Cosmos classroom Berlin and Ava.
We are looking forward to a great month full of fun and learning for your children.
