Take Home Learning Packs

To get children and parents involved in the learning process at home. We have 10 take
home packs that families can check out for a week at a time. Each pack has 3 to 4 books
covering a variety of topics children love. The take home packs are currently located in
Carol’s office under the Qualistar certificate. If you have any questions please ask Carol
for assistance.

Superparents

While we would all love to be Superparents, the reality of it is no one is perfect. I see many
parents who are stressed and overwhelmed with trying to do it all in work, family, and home
life.

Take a moment to admit to yourself that you will never be able to do it all. You won’t raise a
perfect child: you won’t have the energy to battle every battle: you won’t have knowledge
to make every right decision. That’s alright. If you try to win every battle with your child, you
will only create a more stressed “you” who will not be able to meet the needs of your child
effectively. Instead of trying to “do it all,” choose what is important to you and let the rest
go.

"If you want to make good use of your
time, you’ve got to know what’s most
important and the give it all you’ve got.”

         Lee Iacocca

Remember...
Hand washing: As part of our Qualistar
rating system we would ask parents to
stop into the bathrooms and wash their
hands and their child’s hands, at drop off
time. This is considered a best practice
by Early Childhood Experts, and creates
a healthy routine for young children at
drop off time.
